Kaffa

Project Overview
Kaffa museum celebrates the history, heritage & culture of coffee around the world and attempts to capture the true essence of this widely accepted global experience. It retraces the origins of coffee while advancing the socio-cultural importance of coffee in the modern world. The museum has a number of activities which will keep the audience engaged while providing an enriching experience. The museum will consist of classes on how to achieve a perfect blend and roast, coffee tasting rooms and an in-house cafe among other things, making it a delicious experience.
My Contributions
As a part of this project, I worked right from creating the brand to creating and entire experience around coffee. The project involved developing logo, stationery, posters, merchandise, website etc for the museum. In addition, I worked on creating signage for the museum that reflects the essence of the brand, in turn creating a wholesome experience for those who visit the museum.
Kaffa Signage
The signage concepts revolved around reflecting the organic approach of the brand. The thought was to bleed the brand into the built environment. The materials and fonts chosen also cautiously follow the original brand approach making it all one cohesive experience. Care was taken to provide necessary information to visitor so as to guide them to their destination without overpowering the environment with signs, rather blending them with the surroundings while pushing color and texture to resemble coffee residue.
